Descend to the city and visit the National Museum, home to remarkable archaeological treasures, including the famous Lucy fossil, one of the oldest and most significant hominid discoveries.

Continue to the Holy Trinity Cathedral, one of Ethiopia’s most important religious landmarks, known for its beautiful stained-glass windows, impressive architecture, and the tomb of Emperor Haile Selassie. After lunch, explore the Ethnographic Museum, located in the former palace of the Emperor, where you will discover Ethiopia’s diverse cultures, traditions, and history.

After breakfast, take a flight north to Lalibela, Ethiopia’s crown jewel of spiritual and architectural heritage. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before beginning your exploration of the Northwestern Cluster of Lalibela’s famous rock-hewn churches.

Discover remarkable churches including Bete Medhane Alem, the largest monolithic church in the world, Bete Maryam, Bete Meskel, Bete Danaghel, and Debre Sina with Golgotha, each showcasing extraordinary medieval craftsmanship and religious significance.

End the day with a visit to Bete Giyorgis (St. George’s Church), the most iconic and beautifully preserved church in Lalibela. Carved deep into the rock in the shape of a cross, this masterpiece is dedicated to Ethiopia’s patron saint, St. George.
