The Dassanech people are a semi-nomadic ethnic community living near the northern shores of Lake Turkana, in the southernmost part of Ethiopia close to the Kenyan border. They are one of the most southern communities of the Omo Valley and are well known for their ability to adapt to the challenging conditions of the arid landscape.
